Gods Country 03:21
Gods Country Andrew Stearns - Guitar/Vocals Shay Gestal - Fiddle/Vocals Pat Melvin - Bass Charlie Broadbent - Mandolin Brett Lanier - Pedal Steel Rolling green takes leaps and strides Warm air comes up and in like the tide You and your friends got naked with the eye While I was working nine to five Hank believes in big hungry fights Saves his money for one long flight Down to see the makers of guitars curved in time I'll play that guitar down the line The in-betweens I'm afraid to miss The leaves the sugar, the hell, the mess Will they ever find him up on the hill In gods country there ain't no time to kill How do you leave these roads behind The way the mud kicks and the mountains wind These little seasons tend to lock up hearts for good One day I'll stand where I once stood

The Right Mood Andrew Stearns - Guitar/Vocals Shay Gestal - Fiddle/Vocals Pat Melvin - Bass Charlie Broadbent - Mandolin Mike Schmidt - Electric Guitar Sean Preece - Drums It takes a little time to get back to the thoughts you love It takes a little time to give back all the things you bought Don't you know there's a line on your hand to tell you what went wrong And if you stretch out your scars somebody might hold on Got a car last month so I could get out and see someone Who that is I don't care that much Just as long as I'm far from that state of mind That keeps my britches hanging on the same damn clothes line Save my pennies everyday try not to drink to much The barroom might be the best worst idea ever thunk At night I can't win, there goes another five bucks The neon is a sure way to become sentimental drunks Watchin all these chicks and all these dudes Trying to catch each other in the right mood Oh it's all so sweet if you're into malt liquor and kraft cheese

Closer Than My Troubles Andrew Stearns - Guitar/Vocals Shay Gestal - Fiddle/Vocals Pat Melvin - Bass Mike Schmidt - Electric Guitar Josh Halman - Mandolin Sean Preece - Drums If you let me try win your heart Ill hold you closer than my troubles Even though they might never disappear I'll hold you closer than my troubles even if they find me here I used to be so sure Of why i was singing and what i was singing for Reckless comeback underdog fight Boots yelling on the floorboards at the end of the night I want to sweat I need to yell When I get stoned I don't think I ever have a chance But when I drink my coffee I could be a changed man Summer nights and the cocaine Turns your mind right around tight as a bike chain Damp grass while those sweethearts dance Moonrise sets the woods all silver makes me wonder If I can really take the chance I fell in love With a setting sun

Golden Hour Andrew Stearns - Guitar/Vocals Shay Gestal - Fiddle/Vocals Pat Melvin - Bass Charlie Broadbent - Mandolin Mike Schmidt - Electric Guitar Sean Preece - Drums I wish I was back between Rupert and the Pawlet line* Ain't nothing better than all that green on fire Screamin' in the golden evening canyoning the double line* But the Queen city hunts my head lights as I leave Granville behind I got a feeling that Im gonna lose and their ain't nothing i can do What would you do baby if I treat you right I ain't gonna run right after you No honey I don't mean to hide Sometimes its oh so easy just to see you from under the lights Smile and sway and back on down the hill You always had that look just bound up deep inside I know that its true what love has done to you What would you do baby if i treat you right

Flick To Flame Andrew Stearns - Guitar/Vocals Shay Gestal - Fiddle/Vocals Pat Melvin - Bass Mike Schmidt - Electric Guitar Taylor Smith - Piano Sean Preece - Drums Flick to flame I remember but the memories are never the same Up in smoke I watched my first love and heartache float Its a wild fear at the end of it all You hadn't said a word Lord knows I waited for your call But you never picked up the phone Just when Im convinced my heart might not be yours It's then I hear your voice And nothing matters anymore But I know we're so far apart
